- The article compares and presents changes in consumer goods, technologies, and regulations of the U.S. from 1978 to those of 2014. Topics include the fuel efficiency and safety features of automobiles, health care coverage and the evaluation of drugs by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the deregulation of airlines.
