Abstract

Presents a study to determine whether stromal estrogen receptors can mediate uterine growth and functional differentiation in mice. How tissue recombinants were grown for the study; Belief that estradiol-17 can stimulate uterine epithelial proliferation in vivo for normal uterine epithelial morphogenesis, cytodifferentiation, and secretory activity; Use of an estrogen receptor knockout (ERKO) mouse in the study.
