Portrait of a School-Based Health Center: An Ecosystemic Perspective.

This ankle presents a portrait of the Edison School-Based Health Center (ESBHC) in Kalamazoo, Michigan. School-based health centers face challenges that force them to embrace broad, encompassing perspectives such as the ecosystemic perspective wed at the ESBHC. By presenting an administrative profile of the program and of the activities of a social worker who is a primary service provider, we demonstrate that health services must be defined in a manner that takes into consideration the relationships among all stakeholders and the context of such relationships.
