Abstract
- Investigates the responsiveness of the area postrema (AP) neurons in the brain stem to cholecystokinin. Demonstration of a direct and dose-dependent excitatory action of CCK on AP neurons; Evidence for the potential of role of AP in processing afferent information derived from circulating peptide concentrations that could be involved in food intake regulation.
