- States that the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has discovered thousands of damaged underground storage tanks which have violated its regulations. Information on reminders that underground storage tanks installed before December 1988 should meet requirements designed to protect against spill, overfill and corrosion by December 1998; Amount of fines proposed by the EPA.
