“Opening the Door”: The History and Future of Qualitative Scholarship in Interpersonal Communication.

The article focuses on the history and future of qualitative scholarship in interpersonal communication (IPC). It cited two arguments including the need to understand the history of IPC to determine its present and future and the need to expand on perspectives and scholars of IPC to address challenges. Also cited is a brief history on the development of IPC during the 1960s.
