One of the most important aspects that should be considered in the initial training process of the different careers in engineering is related to the formation and development of professional skills, in particular, the integration between the treatment of content and the skills professionals. The initial training of professional skills has a space in the preparation of Industrial Engineers and must be performed from the different disciplines of the curriculum in students of Industrial Engineering. The paper makes an analysis of the criteria of different authors on the subject of the professional skills training, the authors offer a concept of professional skill and is proposes an integration between actions and operations for the treatment of the concepts of calculus integral in the discipline General Mathematics and of the professional skill: draw solutions and determine strategies with scientific rigor in the first year of Industrial Engineering. They also present the stages for the formation of the professional skill. The use of theoretical methods enabled an analysis of how occur the process of formation professional skills, using of treatment of the content in the disciplines and subjects for students of Industrial Engineering.
