Abstract

The article offers information on musical misconception regarding sight reading ability in English Choirs. It discusses that Oxbridge choirs who are exported from Great Britain has better sight-reading ability than a typical singer. It mentions use of Kodály method for teaching sight-singing It also mentions that singers learn to read rhythms spacing, repeated pitches and arithmetic values of bars, musical notation.
