Abstract

Interactive exhibits and science toys are the basic means of hands-on science education. They can readily be applied at science lessons at primary and secondary schools and this way they make the lessons attractive and enjoyable for children. Therefore we use science toys in various subjects in chemistry teachers' education. Presented paper shows some of the interactive teaching tools used at lessons of Physics for Chemists, Physical Chemistry and Science Communication. In a playful way the toys introduce properties of liquids (density, viscosity, and surface tension), optical properties (refraction, absorption and polarization of light), and chemical equilibrium.
