Abstract

The article reports on the New York attorney general Eric T. Schneiderman's lawsuit against the Buffalo, New York bank Evans Bank for allegedly redlining through denying mortgages and credit to African Americans in Buffalo, regardless of their credit. An overview of Evans Bank's lending practices in Buffalo's East Side neighborhoods is provided.
