Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the effect of coronary artery revascularization on left ventricular function and the diagnostic value of strain imaging to the detect ischemia before and after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. Sixty eight patients with history of coronary artery disease were studied and the CABG operation was performed at the surgeon's discretion. It suggests that using strain rate imaging improves overall systolic left ventricular function after CABG.
