Abstract

The paper presents the hybrid vision method for diagnostics of glass furnaces. The developed system enables simultaneous inspection in the visible and infrared spectral band. Thermovision allows for non-contact measuring of the temperature distribution on the outside surfaces of furnace. Detection of heat accumulations areas on the thermograms enables a localization of areas with increased risk for breakdown. The advantage of using visible light camera is to facilitate and speed up the location and identification of the controlled areas and the interpretation of the thermograms. The paper also presents a method for examination of large areas of furnace with use of laser markers. This solution enables to obtain the full mosaic of thermograms of the analysed surface without the risk of omission of relevant areas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
