Abstract

The article discusses multinational corporations' increasing efforts to market their products to lower-income consumers in developing countries. Topics addressed include considerations of changes to a product's design and pricing in order to accommodate the needs of lower-income consumers, the marketing of products to consumers in India, as well as products by telecommunications company Nokia and electronics company General Electric (G.E.) .
