Abstract

The authors reflect on the paucity of data on the comparison of endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS)-guided gallbladder drainage and percutaneous drainage. They mention that it is probably that EUS-guided gallbladder is unlikely to dislodge, offers for better quality of life and not related to skin infections. They state that much more has to be done, even though technological innovations improved procedural success rates and reduced complications related to EUS-guided drainage procedures.
