Abstract

The article focuses on free press and the role of social media. Media coverage of unrest in Ferguson, Missouri where black teenager Michael Brown was killed by the police. Other topics include arrest of journalists covering the event, social media feeds about the event activist watchdog group Anonymous. Citizen journalism and on-ground reporting are mentioned.
