INDICADORES DE FORMACIÓN SOCIOCULTURAL PARA EL DESEMPEÑO DEL FUTURO INGENIERO EN METALURGIA Y MATERIALES.

The present work express a conception of sociocultural formation for achieving a better professional acting in the future metallurgical engineers, as part of the integral formation aspired in Cuban higher education. By using basically a qualitative perspective carries out an analysis of the meaning of some of the existing concepts of culture and society, of the definitions of the sociocultural, sociocultural formation and performance, considering the role and functions of the metallurgical professional and using methods of the theoretical level: analytics- synthetic, historical– logic, transit of the abstraction to the concrete and induction– deduction and in the empiric technique analysis of documents. As result are obtained theoretical approaches to: the definition of the sociocultural, the sociocultural formation, the sociocultural formation for the professional acting and the indicators to assess if an engineer in metallurgy and materials possesses this type of formation. The conception of these indicators is laid the foundations of moreover in the study of the role and function that it must fulfill this professional, expressed in your plain of study.
