The recent model 'Patron Driven Acquisition' has been adapted by many libraries for licensing e-book packages. Following a profile defined individually by the library a vendor provides access to a collection of e-books which will be acquired only by the demand of a library patron according to different models and conditions. Libraries within a regional network have high expectations regarding the immediate processing of the title metadata for their PDA titles which means a big challenge for the responsible central office of the network.
