Abstract
- The article discusses the economic and environmental aspects of the commercialization of quantum dots by the nanomaterial manufacturing companies that will force the quantum confinement of electrons. Topics discussed include their applications in lighting and medical diagnostics, their use in making liquid-crystal displays (LCD), and development of cadmium free quantum dots by Dow Chemicals.
