Abstract
- In a monastery on the bank of the Danube in Ga-laţi County, there was the nun Theodosia who lived her life in the years after the war; a poet educated in the spiritual ambience of the magazine Gandirea" and devoted not only to the monastic life, but also to hesychastic experience as well. Her inner transforma-tion from Zorica Laţcu to Mother Theodosia caused a fundamental change in her poetic creation. From a secular poetry, often fuelled with elements of pagan mythology, the poet passed slowly toward a religious poetry, occasional at first, based on biblical allegory, to then configure as a genuine mystical poetry with stunning resemblance to universal mystical poetry. Zorica - Theodosia Laţcu's poetic evolution is evi-dence of profound changes in her soul, enlightened with faith. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
