Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 17-year-old girl who had a history of pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma. She was diagnosed with extraneous epithelial cells from thromboplastin in cell blocks. The patient was administered with thromboplastin Simplastin Excel S to well-preserved nucleated epithelial cells. It examines the artefactual contaminants in cell blocks due to fungal over growth in reagents.
