Abstract

The article discusses disagreements between faculty and administration at various U.S. regional public college systems that have been brought on by drops in enrollment and drops in state funding to the colleges. Topics discussed include the impact of changing demographics on the colleges, protests held by college students over administration decisions, and the examples of the public college systems in Connecticut, Maine, and Minnesota.
