Thea article reports on predicament of police officers in Nineveh, Iraq who have been abandoned by the national government, highlighting the impact of the U.S.' decision to pull out its military personnel in Iraq. It states that Sunni policemen are supposed to combat terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS), however the government refuses to provide them with weapons as they might sell them to ISIS. It notes that the policemen have also not received salaries for several months.
