Abstract
- The article discusses the development of electronic books, focusing on trends on how people are reading electronic books and how the books are being formatted to best fit on the small screens of smartphones. Other topics include the rise of wireless technology, such as smartphones, in developing countries over wired connections, a history of the printing and design of miniature books including a discussion of religious texts, such as phylactery, and the need for margin spaces for annotations, and how miniature book design can help inform the development of electronic books for smartphones.
