Abstract
- The article presents updates on the development of research and supportive care protocols for Ebola virus disease (EVD) patients as of January 2015. Topics discussed include the overall EVD case fatality rate in West Africa, characteristics of the disease, and treatment uncertainties that should be resolved. The authors suggest the need to deploy and evaluate specific supportive care for EVD patients.
