Abstract
- The author investigates how to improve the reliability of municipal water supply in water-scarce, fast-growing regions such as southern California. Topics covered include two unconventional sources of municipal water in California which include toilet-tap sewage recycling and seawater desalination, reason the frequent occurrence of drought cause so much disruption of municipal water supplies, and unconventional ways to help meet dwindling municipal water supplies in water-scarce regions.
