Abstract
- The purpose of this experiment was to investigate how the tumescent technique reduces complications in liposuction. Histologic examinations revealed that the septa of fat are attached to the deep surface of the dermis and to the fascia superficialis. It is important to retain the septa that contain the perforating vessels and nerves during liposuction. The correct choices for instrument and suction pump can minimize trauma to tissues and reduce complications.
