Abstract: The isolation of everninomicin D and everninomicin B, two closely related antibiotics produced by Micromonospora carbonacea, is described. The structures of everninomicin D and B are shown to parallel closely that of curamycin, a polysaccharidic antibiotic with a low molecular weight and a dichloroisoeverninic acid end group.
