Abstract
- After introductory remarks concerning the pathophysiologic activities of osteoclasts and osteoblast, the author considers the three main pathologies: primary hyperparathyroidism, osteomalacia, and Paget's disease. These pathologies represent an excellent model for the pathophysiologic and clinico-therapeutic evaluation of some calciotropic hormones, viz. parathormone, calcitriol, and calcitonin.
