Abstract: A 55-year-old woman presented with a recent diabetes mellitus associated with pancreatic and renal malformations. This atypical diabetes raised the possibility of maturity onset diabetes of the young (MODY) and a genetic research was performed. These malformations led to MODY5 diagnosis that was confirmed by the presence of HNF1beta gene mutation.<br /> (Copyright 2010 Société nationale française de médecine interne (SNFMI).
