Abstract

This report examines the relationship between smoking and depression in a sample of American soldiers. Persistent, active smoking is associated with increased risk of incident depression at follow up. History of smoking in the absence of current smoking at baseline was not associated with depression at follow-up.<br /> (Copyright © 2012 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.)
