Abstract

Profound unilateral sensorineural hearing loss is an indication for the placement of a bone anchored hearing aid. In a few unfortunate patients who later develop contralateral hearing loss, a cochlear implant becomes a good option. We present our experience in these cases and discuss our technique for single stage conversion from a bone anchored hearing aid to a cochlear implant.<br /> (Copyright © 2015 Elsevier Inc.
