Abstract
- The medical insurance course concerning a woman aged 53 years is described. Throughout two years she had stacked more than 20 tons of cheese daily in units of 4.5 kg from a conveyer belt to shelves from ankle to shoulder height. During a period in which great quantities of cheese consisted of units of 18 kg which had to be stacked at over head height, she developed bilateral supraspinatus tendinitis. The patient was no longer able to work and she was subsequently awarded disability pension. The course of this case of occupational insurance is described and criticised.
