Abstract

We report a rare presentation of focal non-aneurysmal aortitis with mural thrombus of the ascending aorta. This was successfully treated with surgical resection and intravenous antibiotics. Pathology of the surgical specimen suggests that this was likely infectious aortitis, but the source of infection has not been identified.<br /> (© The Author 2017.
