Abstract
- In the title polymeric complex, {[FePt(CN) <subscript>4</subscript> (H <subscript>2</subscript> O) <subscript>2</subscript> ]·2C <subscript>3</subscript> H <subscript>6</subscript> O} <subscript> n </subscript> , the Fe <superscript>II</superscript> cation has an octa-hedral [FeN <subscript>4</subscript> O <subscript>2</subscript> ] geometry being coordinated by two water mol-ecules and four cyanide anions. The Pt cation is located on an inversion centre and has a square-planar coordination environment formed by four cyanide groups. The tetra-cyano-platinate anions bridge the Fe <superscript>II</superscript> cations to form infinite two-dimensional layers that propagate in the bc plane. Two guest mol-ecules of acetone per Fe <superscript>II</superscript> are located between the layers. These guest acetone mol-ecules inter-act with the coordinated water mol-ecules by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.<br /> (© Kuzevanova et al. 2019.)
