Abstract

Clear cell sarcoma of the Achilles tendon is an extremely rare condition, with a handful of cases reported in the literature over the past 3 decades. Patients usually present late because of the slow progress of the disease and seemingly benign nature of its presentation. Clinical and radiological findings are not enough to make a diagnosis; hence, a high index of suspicion is required. A firm diagnosis is made only after histopathologic studies. We present a rare case of this tumor in a young female, the management plan, and prognostic outlook, with subsequent review of the literature.<br /> (Copyright © 2020 the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
