Abstract
- Obese people are victims of hostile attitudes and behaviour that stigmatise them because of their physical appearance. If this grossophobia is already well described at the socio-professional level, it is also present in the world of health care, both by the inappropriate equipment and by the negative attitude of healthcare professionals. This tends to distance obese patients from care and isolate them further. However, solutions exist to combat this discrimination.<br /> (Copyright © 2021. Published by Elsevier Masson SAS.)
