Abstract
- No one person has the right or ability to make decisions about to whom or according to which criteria palliative surgery should be offered. Instead, patient and surgeon together must consider symptom severity, goals of care, and the value palliative surgery could add to the patient's health experience or quality of life.<br /> (© 2021 American Medical Association.
