Abstract

Ectopic pancreas, or the presence of pancreatic tissue separate from the anatomic pancreas, is rarely reported in locations other than the stomach or duodenum. A 43-year-old female was found to have a large jejunal mesenteric ectopic pancreas causing ectopic pancreatitis during workup for frequent episodes of abdominal pain. We present the imaging findings and postresection pathology findings of a rare jejunal ectopic pancreas and discuss the potential complications of this unique condition.<br /> (© 2023 The Authors.
