Abstract

Orbital trauma can occur independently or in conjunction with other craniofacial trauma and can cause damage to bony and neurovascular structures as well as soft tissues. Appropriate interdisciplinary treatment of patients is essential to prevent long-term damage such as blindness or muscle dysfunction. Even complex fractures and soft tissue damage can be visualized using modern thin-layer computed tomography (CT), which is necessary for proper treatment.<br /> (© 2024.
