Abstract
- Excitotoxicity-induced cell death in motor neurons is a major therapeutic target for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Yan et al. <superscript>1</superscript> present a novel compound to specifically disrupt extra-synaptic NMDAR complexes, extending the lifespan of the SOD1 <superscript>G93A</superscript> ALS mouse and ameliorating cell death.<br />Competing Interests: Declaration of interests T.H.G. has provided consultancy services for Roche and Novartis.<br /> (Copyright © 2024 The Author(s).
