Abstract
- Music can be used as a therapeutic tool with people suffering from complex addictions and traumas. By playing together, the patient and care team create a transitional space conducive to emotional attunement and trust. This shared experience facilitates connection and engagement in the therapeutic relationship, which conveys a sense of security. Music is a powerful tool in the treatment of addiction and trauma. It helps to repair damaged bonds and develop empathy, cooperation and creativity within the care team.<br /> (Copyright © 2024 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.)
