Abstract
- NH <subscript>3</subscript> -SCR (SCR: Selective catalytic reduction) is an effective technology for the de-NO <subscript>x</subscript> process from both mobile and stationary pollution sources, and the most commonly used catalysts are the vanadia-based catalysts. An innovative V <subscript>2</subscript> O <subscript>5</subscript> -CeO <subscript>2</subscript> /TaTiO <subscript>x</subscript> catalyst for NO <subscript>x</subscript> removal was prepared in this study. The influences of Ce and Ta in the V <subscript>2</subscript> O <subscript>5</subscript> -CeO <subscript>2</subscript> /TaTiO <subscript>x</subscript> catalyst on the SCR performance and physicochemical properties were investigated. The V <subscript>2</subscript> O <subscript>5</subscript> -CeO <subscript>2</subscript> /TaTiO <subscript>x</subscript> catalyst not only exhibited excellent SCR activity in a wide temperature window, but also presented strong resistance to H <subscript>2</subscript> O and SO <subscript>2</subscript> at 275 ℃. A series of characterization methods was used to study the catalysts, including H <subscript>2</subscript> -temperature programmed reduction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, NH <subscript>3</subscript> -temperature programmed desorption, etc. It was discovered that a synergistic effect existed between Ce and Ta species. The introduction of Ce and Ta enlarged the specific surface area, increased the amount of acid sites and the ratio of Ce <superscript>3+</superscript> , (V <superscript>3+</superscript> +V <superscript>4+</superscript> ) and O <subscript>α</subscript> , and strengthened the redox capability which were related to synergistic effect between Ce and Ta species, significantly improving the NH <subscript>3</subscript> -SCR activity.<br />Competing Interests: Declaration of Competing Interest The authors declare that they have no known competing financial interests or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in this paper.<br /> (Copyright © 2024.
