Abstract
- The varicose or incompetent short saphenous vein is solely responsible for the ulcers with typical localizations. These ulcers, which are especially painful and less frequent than those caused by the long saphenous vein alone, or by the joint role of both saphenae, are easily cured, like any varicose ulcer, by direct action taken on the vein responsible. The author's conclusions are based on a study of 634 cases of venous ulcers.
