Abstract: In order to study the location of the single cysteinyl residue in the primary structure of yeast 3-phosphoglycerate kinase, cyanylation by 2-nitro-5-thiocyanobenzoic acid has bben carried out. Analysis of the two fragments obtained shows that the--SH group is located near position 100.
