Abstract: Significant allergic- and immunologic-mediated diseases of the eye are reviewed. Included are diseases of the lacrimal gland namely keratoconjunctivitis sicca, immune-mediated diseases of the conjunctiva, atopic blepharoconjunctivitis, and marginal blepharitis, uveitis including lens-induced uveitis, episcleritis, orbital cellulitis, and optic neuritis. Significant diagnostic features, an approach to diagnostic workup, and treatment are presented.
