The problem in this study is threefold; to review the economic conditions in Roosevelt Count, New Mexico, from 1929 through 1938; to determine just how the depression affected this area, its business, businessmen, farmers, ranchers, and the ordinary working people; and to inquire into the Government's methods of ameliorating this condition.
