Abstract

The article offers information regarding the move of European Union (EU) to launch its vision for a bioeconomy, wherein biomass will replace fossil fuels from plastics to coal plants to airplanes. It discusses the use of biomass for generating energy in EU countries, helping them to meet renewable energy and emissions targets, Other information concerning greenhouse gas emission and climate change is provided.
