Abstract

Pre-introducing an extra carbon source into the porous aromatic framework of PAF-1 followed by thermolysis affords a new microporous carbon material, which demonstrates a CO<subscript>2</subscript> uptake capacity of 93 cm<superscript>3</superscript> g<superscript>−1</superscript> (equivalent to 4.1 mmol g<superscript>−1</superscript> or 18.2 wt%) at 295 K and 1 bar.
