Abstract

The article offers poetry criticism of the two poems "Two Lots Were Given by Providence..." and "More & More Thought!.." by E. A. Baratynsky. It examines on the use of single-syllable words in two important poems on thought by the Russian metaphysical poet. The author also emphasizes the use of monosyllables to engage in the thought of the poems and support the rationality and subversion of logic in his poetry.
