Abstract
- The article focuses on study of 303 skulls conducted at the Natural History Museum in Great Britain as of 2015 by professor Francis Hughes from Kings College, London, England and Theya Molleson from the Museum. The findings include severe gum disease less common in the Roman British population despite the fact that toothbrushes were not used, skulls showing tooth wear due to coarse grains diet, and Molleson's view that the study shows a decline in oral health fromRoman times to modern England.
